Terms of service
Last updated:
These terms govern the use of the Kairos service at kairos.coding-pit.com, operated by Juan Jesús Cilla (scallop.projects@gmail.com). By signing in as a Host or booking a Session as a Guest, you accept them.
The service
Kairos helps a Team of Hosts agree on times and lets a Guest book one of them. It is offered free of charge. Sign-in is by invitation; the operator decides who can be a Host.
Your Google account
Hosts sign in with Google and let Kairos read their free/busy time, list their calendars and write Session events, as described in the privacy policy. You can revoke that access at any time; Kairos stops working for you until you sign in again.
Using it well
- Give accurate information, and only book Sessions you intend to attend.
- Keep your Booking Link and confirmation link to yourself — anyone holding them can book, cancel or reschedule.
- Do not try to break, overload, scrape or get around the security of the service.
- Do not use Kairos to send spam or to collect other people's data.
Bookings
A booking is an arrangement between the Guest and the Team's Hosts. The operator is not a party to it and is not responsible for a Session taking place, being moved or being cancelled, nor for what is said in it.
Availability and liability
Kairos is provided "as is", without guarantees that it will always be available or free of errors. Always check the event in your own calendar. To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for indirect losses or for missed or double-booked Sessions. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
Ending use
You can stop using Kairos whenever you like and ask for your data to be deleted. The operator may suspend access that breaks these terms, and may discontinue the service with reasonable notice to Hosts.
Open source
Kairos's source code is being prepared for release under the GNU Affero General Public License (AGPL-3.0). That licence, not these terms, governs the code; these terms govern this particular running service.
Changes and law
If these terms change in a way that matters, the date below changes and Hosts are told by email beforehand. They are governed by Spanish law; disputes go to the courts that the law designates, including those of your place of residence if you are a consumer.
